2014 Sponsorship Drive

Posted by Myles Cullen on

With 2013 officially behind us, it's time for a little reflection on the year past.

And what a tremendous year it was for scootering in Canada. Between mainstream acceptance of scootering as a viable "sport", famous guest appearances on network television programs - like Dakota Schuetz on Ellen, massive publicity thanks to Ryan Williams on Nitro Circus, and the continued evolution of the hardware itself, scootering has unquestionably anchored itself as the fastest growing action sport in the world today.

Our year at Scooters Canada was simply awesome. We added some great new lines to our product offerings, continue to develop and tweak our awesome on-line and in-store experience, and aim to be a global leader in the industry. This involves having great selection for our customers, top notch customer service, and competitive prices on all of the best gear available.

Our sponsored riders are also a big part of making this happen. Our "men on the street" interact directly with the community, teach lessons, lead by example, and elevate the sport to a higher level.

A huge shout out to Victor Chadarov, Jacob Pearcey, Jack Kelly, Peter Gonsalves, Kory Rose, Jordon Lafond, and Robby Haines for helping make 2013 the best season yet. These riders demonstrate the best about what this sport is about: Positive attitudes, fun with your buds, big laughs, big air, and the general mayhem that ensues.

And the time has come to open up the floodgates and encourage the next generation of talent to submit their videos for our sponsorship drive that runs until April 1st, 2014. There is no specific trick you need to perform, no checklist to follow. The only requirements are that your video be 2-3 minutes in length and include and interview that introduces everyone to who you are.

Sponsorships are about more than mere riding talent. We need the right people to represent Scooters Canada. Skills matters, but personality and the ability to produce content regularly are equally vital.
